Get some rubbing compound for the old black paint, it will make a world of difference. Go to junk yard and get a new rear bumper and yes paint the door jams black.

A cheap paint job isn’t a problem when you have the right expectations. The issue is when people are expecting a 10k paint job when they are only paying $900.

For your project you should consider a electric paint gun. They are about $250. I mean $1000 gets you the bare min paint job. You would get similar results for less painting yourself and you can take the time to paint the door jams.

I think a good method could be using a graphene based polish product. That would make the dull black glossy to match and fill some scratches.

Tape the doors off and spray inside the doors with rustoleum spray paint then buff the old paint
