As someone who had an essay fail because my citation was not properly written in the right format, tells me this undergraduate is failing. If you're citing studies that don't exist or does not have any correlation to the argument, that's a failing mark.

The citations are why I tried so hard to drill into my english 101 students to NOT USE LLMs to find sources. Just don't do it! LLMs are NOT search engines and they are more likely to give you false or patchworked information
