@moveu: Want to learn how to perform this epic scraping technique?! 😅 To begin, Doc Mike is using a Guasha Massage Tool that can be found on our Favorite’s page under our Amazon picks. 👀 To properly scrape, you want to use a 45 degree angle. The hamstring muscles attach all the way up near the sitz bone (bottom part of the pelvis). In order to get the base of the muscle, you can glide the scraper up until you feel it hit the bone. High hamstring strains can occur in this location. The hamstring also passes the knee and you can glide over that area gently as well. One benefit of scraping is that it can soften tissue and adhesions–kind of like a meat tenderizer. This technique can also break up scar tissue and increase mobility and circulation to the muscle. 💯 Some people swear by it, some people hate it…that’s why you’ve got choices in life people!
