The Affection-to-Indifference Switch: They'll shower you with affection (love bombing) only to pull it away without warning. This is designed to keep you on edge, scrambling to figure out what you did "wrong" to cause their coldness. Your natural reaction to fix the connection is then framed as you being ‘needy’ or ‘unstable.’ 5. Projection: They will accuse you of the exact behaviours they are guilty of. Are they lying? Suddenly, you’re the dishonest one. Are they cheating? They'll accuse you of being secretive or flirty. This is a classic tactic to deflect their own guilt and keep you so busy defending yourself that you can't see their actions clearly.
