@nepalinreel: A government vehicle carrying Koshi Province’s Finance Minister Ram Bahadur Magar hit an 11-year-old girl named Usha Sunuwar Magar in Harisiddhi, Lalitpur, early Saturday morning around 7:15 AM. The car, with plate number Ko 1 Jha 699, struck her as she was crossing the road in Kathikhel, Lalitpur-28. According to police, the injured girl has been sent to B&B Hospital in Gwarko. She sustained facial injuries but is conscious and able to speak, said SP Chakra Raj Joshi of Lalitpur Police. After the incident, locals blocked the Godavari road using parked vehicles and benches placed across the street, halting all movement. The protest comes amid UML’s Statute General Convention happening in Godavari since Friday. Minister Magar, who was on his way to attend the UML event, later visited the hospital to check on the girl’s condition, according to statements he gave to Setopati. The incident has sparked serious concern over VIP vehicle movement, pedestrian safety, and accountability in road accidents involving government officials.
