unpopular opinion but i think Moon baek really cared for lee do. however with they're goals there was no way they could be friends. Lee do also visited moon baek at the hospital even tho he sh*t him.

was moon baek even a little jealous seeing how lee do was so genuinely helping others while moon baek himself wasn't receiving any kindness from others? or maybe he has long since come to terms with the fact that he's not worthy of even the slightest drop of love, support, accepting? he was never been loved, never treated with kindness, he raised himself, learned to survive but not to live. the only person who understood him ultimately turned out to be a disappointment. and so he ends up in a coma thanks to the weapon he himself gave out to people. lee do represented the person moonbaek needed throughout his childhood. at the end lee do protects the kid with the gun and in the middle he protects the high schooler with the gun. both times he was there watching, like he was watching the story he should’ve had. and the parallels between the person he BECAME, being him dying when lee do protected the little kid and the friend of the high schooler who got knocked out

He was just a child who didn't have the love of his parents, he suffered a lot, especially when he lost his eye. It's obvious that he would become an arms dealer because the one who rescued him was dedicated to that. They made him out to be the villain, but he was just a victim.
