@vrss_fightgear: brazilian jiu-jitsu doesn’t just train your body - it rewires your brain. higher focus. sharper memory. stronger resilience. even better long-term brain health. because every round is problem-solving under pressure. and every failure is data for the next move. it’s not just self-defence. it’s self-development.

and it’s funny that higher belts when rolling ask “what are you gonna do now?” “how are you gonna get out now?” FORCING you to solve a problem and not just give up

It's why In Islam, teaching boys wrestling is encouraged, it’s disciplined, demanding, and builds strength. At the same time, Islam forbids harmful striking, especially hitting the face.

Though I agree that BJJ gives you that, I'd still love to see studies where they compare BJJ vs other martial arts, not only "other athletes"

I don’t know if it’s true but in the main guy called back there is a line where a commentator says that across martial arts fighting each other. It’s an undefeated nearly undefeated martial arts fighting boxing or whatever others jujutsu from Asia karate that kind of stuff is it a thing?

You mentioned working memory and executive function. What if you do a martial art as someone with ADHD? 🤔🤔

Learn chess, teach your kids chess and confidence. BJJ, Judo, Sabat, Muah Tai will give them tools to be used by a sharp mind. Martial arts is a tool, not an engine.
