@frinstitute: Pain isn’t always tied to one clear cause. It’s a biopsychosocial experience, shaped by the body, the mind, and the environment. As clinicians, our job is to sort through those layers to find the root issue. The challenge today is that patients often turn to the internet or AI for answers, which can create fear and misdiagnosis. That anxiety doesn’t just stay in the mind, it feeds into the body and makes pain worse. Video Credit: @peterattiamd
Drs would rather gaslight you cause they don’t know the answers!!

When you think the pain is psychological are you referring them to a psychologist? What are you doing to rule out psychological causes? Do you have procedures in place to make sure you aren’t making these decisions based on any implicit bias due to a patient’s demographics?

For me, I’ve been suffering with several unmanageable, debilitating symptoms since I was 15. I just woke up one day ill. That was 12 years ago. Doing my own research is SELF ADVOCATION. When I was 19 I asked my doctor about my gallbladder. She discouraged me but still gave me a referral just to appease me. Guess what was only functioning at 17%? Guess who was right. I am still unwell. And some days I feel like I’m suffering. So yes, I will keep searching. Because 12 years with these symptoms and not even a decent way to manage it? Unacceptable to me.

ok, but at the end of the day, you are your best advocate, so don't be afraid to walk into a doctor's office prepared to go to battle. if you want to take something from this clip, understand that all he should've said is if you're experiencing pain it might just be.

It’s always women they tell it’s in your head. Never men. How does that work ? Men are immune ? COMEON !
