as someone that self studied & took o levels as a private candidate, here are some tips on how i managed to stay focus and study for long periods of time 1) Always start early - as a chronic procrastinator, it always helps when you start way ahead of your schedule because you can slowly digest at your own pace. cramping at the last minute never works 2) Take breaks - I still get on ig and tiktok every 30 mins or 1 hour to take my brain off the load and i feel that it refreshes my mind to absorb more information. but it's important for you to know to stop after 2-3 mins of scrolling 3) set realistic goals - you have to know your own pace and you should not set unrealistic goals like learning 100 pages in one day. the quality of learning will be so bad and it will not retain in your mind. also if you do not hit your goal, you will feel so demotivated and procrastinate even more 4) give yourself rewards - i remember waking up at 5 am everyday to watch 2 hrs of show before i start my study schedule at 7am. And i really kept to this schedule when i was self studying for o levels. because i was satisfied with the reward, i felt more motivated to keep studying and making sure that i hit my study goals 5) do it even if you don't feel like it- 5 mins a day is still better than 0. it's okay to not study 10 hrs everyday but it's important to still make a small effort on those days so that you can take small steps towards your goals #StudyTips #studyvlog #sgvlogger #fyp #pilatesinstructor
