No. It saves those who look on Jesus with faith or belief that He can and will forgive them. Not seeing, all the Israelites saw the bronze serpent, it was those who looked on it that were saved.

Don't listen to peterson. Numbers 21.9 is about FAITH in God's word. All who look upon Christ and BELIEVE in him shall have eternal life. All who reject the living word made flesh Jesus Christ do so to their own destruction, so BELIEVE for the salvation of your souls.
