Okay so I just used this framework in an interview 20 min ago and it made the conversation feel so natural. By the end of my answer there was a seamless transition into her questions about my experience and I’ve never felt that before!

Interviewer asks vague open ended question with no direction, is then shocked when answer doesn't give valuable insight. 🙄 If you want specific questions answered, ask specific questions.

I’m going to try this approach in my next interview, it feels like a fresh take on the classic “Tell me about yourself” question. After all, you never get a second chance to make a great first impression.

It’s just a personality test question. Basically if you’re conversational and charming/funny, you make it to the next stage. But if you’re awko-taco, “well, something just came up, we’ll get back to you to reschedule…never”
