@theycallmecrazybirdlady: The endless I love yous, the sweet kisses, the love in his eyes 😭❤️ When I tell you this bird is a perfect gift from God it is no joke! The way I found him is a profound story in itself and was 100% divinely guided—which is why I named him Theo (Theodore means “God’s Gift”). And why wouldn’t a bird gifted from God shower me with the sweetest love on earth?? 🥹🥰❤️ #blessed #indianringneck #birdlove #talkingbird #birdtok

Natsume Sōseki (夏目漱石), seorang novelis besar Jepang era Meiji. Konon, saat mengajar bahasa Inggris, salah satu muridnya menerjemahkan kalimat "I love you" menjadi: > “Watashi wa anata wo aishiteimasu (私はあなたを愛しています)” Namun Sōseki mengatakan: > “Orang Jepang tidak mengungkapkan cinta secara langsung seperti itu.
A fun thing about having so many neighbors watch these posts is giving a boost to both our time-honored businesses and the new chic places, which draw in people from outside the community! I am not alone in this, and lately, I have learned about a nonprofit called @Georgetown Main Street that focuses on this same goal! It has been a pleasure to meet Rachel Shank and her group of civic-minded pals, and they introduced me to Duk-ki, whose shop, Major, is in the vanguard of apparel shops. I love continuity, so I have to point out that this building is owned by Mr. Crocker; he is a longtime Georgetowner and fellow historian. His mother had a lamp shop there almost 80 years ago. What might not be clear in the video is that the building was constructed by the Lake Stone Company in the 1920s. They were a Georgetown company specializing in building materials. Think of those concrete blocks that resemble actual stones. In the early 20th century, the “Greater Washington Movement” was actively promoting these smaller regional companies to grow in scope. As part of that, Lake Stone Company went into building projects. This building was a start that grew into projects like Pepco’s headquarters. So, as The Jobbers and Shippers Association was promoting these businesses a hundred years ago, we now have Georgetown Main Street doing their thing for our businesses by helping them grow and remain vibrant in a tricky internet world! 😊 #GeorgetownDC #GeorgetownRealEstate #DCRealEstate #HistoricHomesDC #WashingtonDCRealEstate #GeorgetownLiving #DCProperties #RealEstateDC #DCNeighborhoods #HouseHistoryDC
