Russell Blake :
The logic is basically that wall street, which has a long history of manipulation since it was created (read Once in Golconda for starters), would never collude to clamp down the two metals identified by the constitution as the only lawful money. Neither would the privately owned fed. So basically ignore all of human history where powerful pecuniary entities colluded to manipulate for profit, and especially ignore the recent conspiracy in equities involving naked shorting, which apologists started out with it doesn't happen, then it went to it does happen, but rarely, to it happens more often but due to errors, not conspiracies, then with the reg sho list published, okay, it is a majority of daily trading but shuttup, then in the 2008 crisis, it must be stopped or it will destroy the entire financial system. Your argument is identical - absence of evidence is evidence of absence, and we should believe all the manipulation is accidental or a function or market structure, not the same exact player's involved in naked short selling doing it in metals at the behest of the fed.
