If it’s a corneal abrasion they might be able to do a diamond burr keratectomy and (if they make them for horses) give him a contact to protect it from the wind and stuff.

Use a bit of cotton rope on a double ended clip as a twitch. Clips to the halter and makes it super simple. No handle to hit anything, gives you both hands to work with and is gentle.

I mean it’s going to happen at times, we build as safe of enclosure as we can but things happen, that’s just life. They see a vet when needed and are very loved that’s what matters

I had a mini horse that had a something either scratch or puncture his eye and had to treat it. He would do the same thing with his eye as well, he would close that eye but came to realize that I was helping him heal. The eye drops that I used from the vet had his own blood in it to help heal the eye a bit quicker. I think Harvey will get to the point where he will know that this will help him. Hope all goes well with the healing of his eye.

If you need more control bailing twine lips twitch is easier to do when your by yourself

Heck hrs did better than my dad does when I have to put drops in his eyes!!! I will try the nose twitch next time on dad and report back 👍😂😂😂 Great job Annie!!!👍
