You completely missed the point with your eye color and shorts analogies. It was never about saying cis dudes are "bad" for being the majority of shooters, it's to point out that trans people aren't more violent than other groups (specifically because trans people are being broadly painted as more violent than the general population) and that if you look at the groups, it's actually cis men doing the majority of the harm. We then get to look at all the circumstances that go into making cis men more likely to commit crimes. The fact cis dudes make up nearly half the population is a big factor, but not the only one (given that cis women don't commit mass shooting at nearly the same rate). Then you get to consider societal pressures, etc.

Pointing out a fact is not propaganda, most violent crimes are committed by cis men. This is because of living in a society that discourages men from opening up about their mental health struggles. Instead it encourages men to bottle everything up, and tells men that to be a man you have to be big, strong and in charge all the time. And that mentality leads to men becoming more and more aggressive, and since many men aren't able to feel big and strong on their own, they turn to guns because they automatically give you power over someone else. Toxic masculinity and access to firearms is why many mass shootings occur in the US. And many mass shooters don't have extensive criminal histories, they just snap one day and go on a spree, or if there are warning signs, nobody intervenes and gets that person into therapy to actually deal with the problem. Every country is dealing with a mental health crisis, Australia doesn't have enough psychologists, a lot of the time you're waiting 2-3 months for a first appointment. Only the US has a problem with mass shootings and school shootings. It is entirely a gun control issue, and then a male mental health issue.
