This is in Act II. This fight got me so frustrated, but the strategy that worked for me involved using the Architect Crest for multiple tools and being able to create more tools using silk. I used the Plasmium Phial nine times which gave me the self-healing factor to get through the awful run back and the gauntlet at the start of the battle. The Cog flies helped mow down the gauntlet and from there I just had to wait for the boss to spawn and hit him with a ton of Curveclaw boomerangs. The Architect Crest can be found in a locked room where the key can be given to you by the Twelfth Architect after obtaining 25 tools. The locked room and the Twelfth Architect are located in the Underworks’ Cauldron. The Plasmium Phial is located in the Wormways - you have to do the “Alchemist’s Assistant” quest for Alchemist Zylotol. At base, it only allows you to use the liquid 6 times at most, which means you have to use the Architect’s tool fixing ability to get the full 9 injections to go into regeneration mode. You lose regeneration mode once you rest on a bench or use a bellway. The cogfly tool can be first crafted on a workbench in the High Halls in the citadel and require a craft metal material. You can also poison the cogflies using the Pollip Pouch. The Curveclaw can be obtained in Act I, by the Mottled Skarr secret vendor in Hunter’s March for 140 rosary beads. The heavy tool set up makes this awful fight bearable. #silksong #silksonghornet #nintendoswitch2 #groalthegreat #bossfight
