My nephew is mixed race. My sister is white but his father and his fathers family chose not to be involved in his upbringing. It's been very difficult for him. He's been brought up in a prominently white family and white area. We all love him dearly but I think it would have been extremely beneficial for him if his father and his family had been part of his life.

My daughters mixed, and she has noticed the difference in how people have been different to her in recent months. Even some family have issues with non white people. But as her mother I’ve always encouraged her to be proud and embrace all parts of her dna. Anyone that believes otherwise about my children are cut off!!!
