Fair. Racism is everywhere. I am a Chinese living in Australia for over 50 years. I experienced racism a few times a year.

Hi I'm Chinese, I always feel so bad when people get racism in China😭, I think this is definitely something that needs to be fixed, you show Alot of maturity for not letting the negativity get to you and seeing the positives. and yeah China has something with starring and pictures, mostly by old people in my experience and idk if they're mean or ignorant to social cues since China did change Alot from 30yrs ago and old ppl never adapted to modern customs. whenever I dress differently occasionally old people stare me down😭 but I find newer gens are very different to older gens and also critique older gens for their actions thankfully.

I don’t agree that ‘hagway’ is same as ‘n’. ‘bakgway’ is a white person (although direct translation is white ghost), ‘hagway’ is (just) a black person. I’ve never interpreted it as a derogatory term. Whether it was when the term was originated and now it’s been normalised, I don’t know.

I think “staring” in general is not considered rude in China. I’m Chinese and I get a lot of stares (I dress weird unfortunately 🤣) it makes me uncomfortable all the time

In terms of pictures, I read in a comment section of a BW who was a student there. She started charging them a small fee and was able to use that to pay a semester’s tuition 😂😂
