Why would you want to be with someone that is not at all at the same stages of life than you? I am 52 and very close to retirement(3-4 years max) and already working part time. Why would I want to be with someone that is in the prime of their careers at 35-45 and he won’t be able to travel as much as I do and do retired people stuff. Why go for something that has a big chance of failing?

It’s not for me however it’s not my business. My husband was a year older than me. The other long term partner was four years younger than myself. That’s probably as young as I would go. We had similar tastes and the same generation.✌️

Probably works more for men than it does for women. My husband was 20 years younger than I was and it was great at first and then it was awful and today I could not see myself with someone that young.

My ex-husband and I were married for 25 years and we had a 10 year age gap I was 10 years older than he was. It didn’t really do anything to the marriage until later. Little differences started to come up.
