@florinexacta: For a long time, I thought about writing a song for Gaza and for the Palestinian people. But speaking of the pain of war, of loss, and of the disappearance of those we love is almost unbearable. So I chose another path: I took a Brazilian song that has always moved me, “Fico Assim Sem Você” by Claudinho and Bochecha, and transformed it. Translated into English, adapted into an Palestinian style version, it became “Without You” (To Gaza Children) — a sensitive tribute to what is most human: not knowing how to live without the other. It is a song about absence, love, and resistance through tenderness. Because even in the face of violence, the childhood of Gaza deserves to be remembered for its right to exist, dream, and sing.
