3.6 is a good engine - some people just don’t do maintenance

Not really seeing how that is a “Jeep” issue. Belt broke, they drove it anyways and ruined the engine.

We have 2 of these with the 3.6 V6. Good vehicles, problem free so far. Previous Jeep w 3.6 went 235K with just scheduled maintenance. Take care of your car. They take care of you.

If there’s a backorder from Chrysler, what does that tell you about the engine?

A great video would be a breakdown of total engines replaced per manufacturer of car. Let the data speak.

No the Gen 2 Pentastars are blowing head gaskets like crazy. between 65 and 100,000 miles. Honestly the belt is probably coincidental or made the head gasket failure even worse.

Stellantis is slashing costs and squeezing its brands for profit. Buy any of their brands at your own risk.

I just installed a Jasper 3.6 in a Grand Caravan a few weeks ago. I believe it was a 2018 or 2019 with just over 100k, overheated and blew the head gasket, customer had driven it home after it first overheated. It did show signs of bottom-end damage. The Jasper engine surprised me, it actually came with timing cover and oil pans, and it ran great.

I’ve got 250k on my 3.6, if you take care of them. They’re great. This is obviously someone didn’t take care of their maintenance
