I’m Asian American, but my parents and uncles are basically checked out of politics 😭. My grandma speaks very little English too so i’ve BEEN worried cuz I knew we would not be exempt from this administration

Everyday I’m reminded of the poem… “first they came for _____, and i didn’t speak up because im not ___.” Till eventually there’s no one left to fight. We are all suppose to unite but so many of our POC are too busy trying to appease the oppressor that they turn their backs on the rest. This doesn’t end well for anyone if we keep this up. We had 1 job as a country last year… such a shame

In my opinion this situation is most serious because not only is South Korea our long standing Ally in East Asia. We also use their technology (LG, Samsung, Kia). We already lost of their companies in the phone industry let's hope it doesn't escalate.

Correction: Asian American acceptance rate actually went up for a lot of elite schools like MIT, JHU, Columbia, & etc. at the end of Affirmative Action. So that’s a wide misconception. 🥶 Regardless, the end of AA is terrible for diversity in general

As a Brown Asian, please avoid broad generalizations of Asians. Racism exists in every race and culture, and that one person doesn’t represent all of us. Asians are diverse..not all of us are light-skinned or from the commonly stereotyped groups like Japanese, Chinese, or Korean.

Well Southeast Asians have always been the target you just don't hear about it as often. Many have been deported this entire time and there have been small protest especially amoung the Lao, Hmong, and Cambodian community

There was a YT girl on here who was doing makeup tutorials videos as a yt person using different races make up styles. So she did Mexican, Black, Middle Eastern, when she got to Asian… when I tell you them Asians flooded her comments to “educate” her that it didn’t apply to them cause they are “yt” therefore how could she do a tutorial on “their” makeup when it’s the same as yt folks. Listen that’s when I knew that community was deep in delulu-landia 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
