I’ve been through such a severe mental health crisis it took two years to slowly crawl out of my deep depression. Before it happened what I needed was therapy, and for the people in my life to care… I have so much more I could say… I have multiple complex medical conditions that are only going to get worse… and no way to work or pay for the help that I need. I needed other to help me and they didn’t. I lost all my friends and had no one. “Surround yourself with people who lift you up…” was impossible…

being around people who are constantly negativity is SOOOO draining and truly perpetuates depression to the people around them. Being positive IS being realistic, so when someone is always critical, confrontational, negative and just generally grouchy, how could anyone maintain a healthy mindset when ALLLLLL the input is SOOO negative!!?? Thank you for the extra tools. 🙏

I love The practice positive scavenger hunt suggestion. I do a daily gratitude journal and revisit my day with the 12-step program, using step 10, but this pushes me a bit further. I like that you mentioned that we should ask "what else," to stretch my brain further and rewire my brain. thank you so much! I just love your page.
