i work for a debt consolidation company and the amount of emails i get monthly of how much i have helped them tremendously is the best feeling ever…really does give you the financial breathing room while also just having one total bill w one interest rate oppose to 5/6/7 different payments and interest rates!

I did a 0% balance transfer instead. There was a 5% fee but that balance is now going down and nothing is being added to it. No interest for 2 years

The problem is that people just do a debt transfer to another form and then rack up new debt on the freed up credit cards

What if you owe more than 10000? Do you keep doing it over and over or try and get a loan to pay off all of them? I unfortunately have a lot of debt at the moment that my plan is to pay them all off within 3 years

I looked at my expenses yesterday and realized I was spending about 900 bucks a month on dinners and alcohol.. absolute waste of money. I am cutting both completely out so I can use that saving to pay off my auto loan faster

This is exactly what my husband and I did! We closed out 4 credit cards and “paid them off” with our loan. In one year we’ve paid off over $5,000 dollars of credit card debt. It’s so nice to see that balance actually go down 😩

Our credit union also has free financial counseling services for members, and that was incredibly helpful for us understanding our current budget, financial goals, etc. Credit unions are fantastic 💯

This is not a mean comment. How do people afford to pay for the program like $375 a month for 12 months. Just genuinely curious how people do it if they are struggling to pay of debt to add another payment. I’d love for help to learn to pay off my debt!
