@nikkispluckitpals: I love her so much. She has been through so much. Shes so brave and so strong! I would love to meet her and tell her how much I appreciate her speaking out! Speaking for all of us woman that have been through s*exual assault. I am a survivor of not one, not two, but many acts of s*xual violence in my 46 years on this planet. From date r*pe, to the 37 yr old who thought I was it was ok to have his way with me at the age of 13, to the guy that helped himself to me while I was in my bed dead asleep. Assault comes in many different way. But it’s assault all the same, it’s all wrong and happens every single day. To children and adults. The fact that I’ve never reported any of my assaults to the police is proof that it happens so much more than we even think or know about. It’s so sad. It’s disgusting and I’m so sick of the apologists and the ppl that love to victim blame and victim shame. Shame on all of you. Shame on everyone who voted for a man found liable if SA. It’s an absolute kick in the face to not only the woman he assaulted but to all of us that have been through it. It shows us that most ppl don’t give a damn about woman and they don’t care what happens to us. We are the creators of life. We are therapists, nurses, cooks, housekeepers, lovers, problem solvers, multitaskers, teachers, comforters, providers, and we’re also gaslit, talked over, belittled, overlooked, used, abused, ignored, neglected, assaulted, taken for granted, told to calm down, be quiet, shut your legs, called crazy, emotional, hysterical, promiscuous, easy, spinsters, cat ladies, and so many other disgusting things I can’t even remember them all. And this administration wants to strip us of our rights and go back to a time when we had no say in anything and nowhere to turn when terrible things happened to us.
