I was with my 20 year old daughter at her hair appointment the other day and overheard another hairdresser and her client talking. The client said she had spoke with her mother on the phone and she said her mom was just going on and on about random things, she said, mom, isn't that what your therapist is for why are you telling me. And literally told her mom, she had to go. And then they both started laughing. And started talking about safe spaces. I had to walk out for a few minutes. I just don't understand the world we live in. So sad!

I would like to hear these kids story - why are they so hateful towards us. Because I know we were good parents. My son left me 4 years ago about money. He was over 30 and still wanted me to bail him out financially. I had to stop, realizing I was an unabler. He got on social media blasting me about how I was a terrible mother and that I hung he out to dry like trash. He friends came after me.

If I see my daughter and now spouse within my lifetime, it will be too soon. She has hurt like none other. I could understand if she grew up with any sort of abuse, neglect, or addiction. She didn’t. The pampered pooch is on her own and turned her back on all family.

Thanks for sharing. More proof of how common no contact has become. They’re saying how proud of each other they are and “love you”, but would they all be there in a crisis in the bleak reality of real life? When the sh*t hits the fan, they’re probably going to be alone. This is why I’ll always be here if I’m needed. It does totally water down cases of actual real abuse.
