If you have to bring in 3 phase it probably doesn’t pencil out. Always seen way more hours of runtime out of 3 phase motors

setting up 3 phaze when you are already setup for single is ungodly expensive and will never pay off . Even if you do all your single phaze moters are pretty much scrap so all that is lost cash

On that motor, bypass the overload switch. If it’s just the overload causing the issue, you’ve fixed it. If it cooks the motor, it was cooked anyway. Just send it.

If you have a electrician that can do the math and size a VFD you can do a VFD fed by single phase to run 3 phase motors.

for the electrician, three phase is easier the only thing you have to check when installing a motor is the direction and overheat protection no capacitors etc. But I shouldn't say too much since I live in an area that runs entirely on three phase, a normal domestical here in Sweden is 400v three phase 16a, phase to neutral is 240v in that system.

We run a 3 phase generator for our drying setup. Cheaper than even getting Ontario hydro to look into 3phase. Run a phase converter for bin fans rest of the year so we don’t need generator on for just a fan or two

go with US General Electric, the have 3 phase converters.. its cheaper that way to go

You can get inverters single to 3 phase they wanted 430k to go less than a mile to get three phase to our property

Local elevators are three phase but run the whole elevator on a big generator. They claim diesel is cheaper for them over hydro
