does this go both ways? I always plan everything, seem to want to do everything with my partner, always ask where she wants to go and to take long weekends, local things and events but that is NEVER reciprocated. ever.

What some of these comments don’t realize is that yes, it should be reciprocal. However, many women have experience with doing all the emotional labor and planning to keep the relationship alive. That’s why we say that they should want to do these things to help keep the relationship alive
