I really love how Persephone moves here! I feel like compared to the Broadway version, her movements are very slow, drunken but here in the beginning she's fast, feral. Almost like an animal confronting it's prey while she's facing Hades. I feel that that's a really powerful execution on her part

i kinda get why they cut it because they removed the explicit connections between persephone and eurydice, and hades and orpheus. instead its more like hades projects onto orpheus rather than them being inherently connected, so then it's even more tragic that orpheus becomes like hades in the end (filled with destructive doubt). i love this verse though, it suits the off broadway version so well. i just dont think it belongs in the bway version though
