This is NOT debutante, as the point of that was being ‘presented at court ‘, in firing of the Queen , or now King. It stopped over 60 years ago

Historically, the London season would start in March and end in July. Debutants - always daughters of the aristocracy would be presented to the King or Queen - not a cake. This is purely a money making scheme for the nouveau riche
