I told hubs to wait to move it so I could move the paint. Hubs did not wait. He then learned the package was several hundred lbs. He tried to be a ballerina or something with his footwork. He said not to feel bad and that it’s okay to laugh. He thought it was funny. I told him we couldn’t both be out of commission. A number of the dishes I cook are a mix of things new and old with a bit of imagination sprinkled in between. It makes cooking meals exciting for me versus doing the same things over in the exact same way. Most of the things I have cooked over the last 2 years I’ve only made once unless it’s requested and usually then I change it up. 1. Crispy Chicken Thighs This was a deconstructed version of a chicken roulade dish that I make but in less time. The pan sauce was new and was 1000/10 2. Smoked Lamb Ribs - I’ve been on the hunt for these for over 5 months and finally came across a pack at our local neighborhood butcher. 3. Steak Cobb Salad - I like shredding eggs with a microplane for a different texture vs chopping. The charred scallion dressing was herbaceous, smokey, brought the dish together. 5. Peach Pudding - Brown butter peaches had been one of my favorite things all summer and making a pudding just made a lot of sense. 6. Grazing Table - I went to see my friends in Chicago last weekend. She threw me some cheese, veggies and asked me to make it happen. It’s up there with the 6 foot table I made. 7. Crispy Hot Honey Brussel Sprouts - I paired these with a garlic and herb chicken and mashed potatoes. They take about 20 min to make and only require 4 ingredients but can elevate your meal #homecook #whaticookedtoday #DinnerIdeas #dinnerfortwo #homemademeals
