Sadly, it all just comes down to trust. The MOST important thing to remember, is to NOT become a self-fulfilling prophecy. Don’t say anything like “you’re gonna cheat on me” or do anything like pushing away to avoid pain. Don’t learn yourself into something then say “I told you it would happen!”. Just trust and try, that’s the most you can do

i haven’t heard of flamme before.. does the distance widget work? personally i survived ldr by filling my own calendar: new job, gym every day, picked up hobbies, even sewing lol. made me way less dependent on his replies

I just moved in with my long distance boyfriend and here are some things we did to help: fall asleep on FaceTime every nigh, Life360, don’t be scared to talk about your past INCLUDING EXS, get to know each others friends, phone calls over texting, weekly date night (set a day) even if it’s just watching a movie together, surprise gifts (DoorDash was his go to), open honesty even if it hurts, ask questions even when it’s hard/embarrassing, and learn that you’re both doing long distance so they also need reassurance. Hang in there girly, it’s so worth it 😊

it’s almost been 2 years for us and since he lives like 2 states away it gets really hard, especially with arguments but once you love someone you never want anyone else. sounds corny ik but you’ll know when you feel it :)))

Accept the fact that you guys are long distance. You're miserable because you haven't fully accepted it. Don't be dependent on him, he should make you feel secure and like he's not going anywhere, making it easier for you both to live independently while you're still in a relationship. Vice versa you to him, make him feel secure and loved. I know you said it's too expensive but REALLY try to prioritize seeing eachother in person, you both have something to look forward too and that makes the distance that much more special!

Stop looking at numbers. Distance, activity, etc. Learn to trust what he says and let him know you’re struggling without blaming him. I promise that he cares. Next, fine a new hobby or go shopping. Get a job (or if you have one) work more. Find new friends and try not to just focus on him all the time. You will be okay and it’s okay to go through this as I am too and this is what helped me.

I write down everything I feel and go through it one by one explaining to myself how/why im overthinking and how it isnt true, that what im thinking isn't real right that minute, then Ill step back and either read or I also keep screenshots of all the nice things my bf has sent me that I'll look at to clear my head

My girlfriend and I have the app Widgetable, it has a status option where you can update your partner on what your doing, there’s a widget where you can send them a picture or a drawing, and you can raise a little digital pet together! Also, a lot of times, we face time just while we do everyday tasks. You don’t always have to talk, sometimes it’s nice just to be in their presence. LD is hard, but if you really care about them, the effort is worth it

it was hard! we were long distance for a little over a year and just moved in together a couple months ago. we were both super busy with work so that made it even worse but we always made time for each other right before bed and had a schedule. even if we only got 5 minutes, we would always do the wordle together just to have some type of routine. it sucked, but knowing i got at least a few minutes before bed every night made it easier to stomach!

not long distance, but for 2 years me and my partner were forbidden to see each other by her parents. (we now live together, are engaged, and this december will make 5 years together) here's some tips on how we got through only being able to talk online, (if she wasnt grounded for getting caught talking to me) 1. watch youtube, shows, and movies together. get in a call, and turn on what youre watching at the same time. 2. video games! i really enjoyed ones where our avatars could interact together. we used an app called avakin specifically, and would decorate our little virtual house together 3. conversation starters such as "would you rather", its fun and can go on for hours! 4. make virtual art together! 5. if you simply have nothing to talk about or dont have the energy, you dont have to. we would sit in a call together and do our own things a lot of the time. she would play video games, i enjoyed scrollimg social media and saving memes to show her later. we would make light conversation and find comfort in the fact the other person was there.

If the other person isn’t putting in the same effort to have conctant communication over the distance that you are, you may need to seriously evaluate the relationship and what it means to both you and them. It can absolutely work, but you both have to be COMMITTED. Try to make it a habit of texting them at least twice a day, tell them about what you did through your day and ask about theirs. If phone communication isn’t the best for you, start writing letters, there’s something soft and romantic about a love letter arriving in your mailbox

It definitely gets hard sometimes, and that’s ok! Try to find things to keep yourself busy and your mind occupied. Our minds here are our worst enemy, and sitting and letting them wander is no good. Communication and trust are BIG! FaceTime helps to recap the day, and even if there’s not much to talk about, which happens, embrace it and enjoy the company together! Take deep breaths, You got this! I hope this helps!

It’s really hard, I’ve been long distance for the entirety of college. There’s not a way to make it all stop hurting or being hard. There’s best advice I can give is schedule the next time yall will see each other. Knowing the next time makes it easier, you have a goal to get to. Not knowing is harder because you just wonder all the time.

Tbh best thing I did was hyper focus on a hobby. For me, it was crocheting and I would mostly crochet him gifts like plushies or blankets. Those things take forever so I’d be busy 24/7 with watching tv and crocheting. I also got high 24/7 but that might be a little less healthy than crochet lmao

i worked a lot so i didn’t have to think about being alone but my now husband and i are together after 4 years of long distance. be patient and talk as much as you can talk about your day talk about something you want to do together the next time you see them tell them your anxieties and what your over thinking about. you have to be so vulnerable with them or you’ll never be able to get through this but i promise forever reuniting will be the best thing ever you’ll be happier than ever. but yeah communication is 100% the best thing communicate about literally everything go to sleep on ft together because you’re never “alone” find something you can do together aswell like playing video games there’s a lot of two player games and also multiplayer games you can play with just them or with them and others. be creative, do stupid facebook quizzes they are always fun. the wait could be worth it or it’ll destroy you. it’s up to you how you and him make it work. good luck 🍀 🥺

Start doing things for you and working on your independence. You’ll be a lot happier with yourself and won’t feel as anxious from waiting for a text all day and when you do call him you’ll have something to talk about
