I’m an American that’s lived all over the world and currently live in London. The UK has some of the lowest quality of life in the developed world.

My family moved us to the US when I was a kid, we lasted 6 months before we moved back to Scotland, can't think of a single reason to stay there, awful place. Scotland has free healthcare, better access to healthcare (things like abortion etc), free education, more rights for employees, no school shootings, vastly superior food safety and quality, lower cost of living etc. Its just a no brainer. Fully convinced any american that thinks the USA is the best country in the world has never set foot outside of it.

Many people in the UK will say it's terrible there, but having had the privilege (see what I did there) to have travelled across Europe/Africa/Asia and America, the UK is pretty good

I’m with you. I’m a Brit living in the US, been here 15 years and I’m over it. Live to work mentality in this country. The ONLY thing that prevents me from moving back to the UK, salaries are pathetic in comparison.

depression rates are very high in UK. So many people that move to the UK become sick. at least in lots of the USA you have great weather. More outdoors culture

I am Scottish but lived in the US, studied at UNC Chapel Hill. I HATED the US and got back to Scotland ASAP. My eldest boy went to California for university & I thought he'd never come back. He came back after one year. He also hated it.

I’ve moved to London for two months and miss my life in California so much. I’m absolutely sick of the horrendous weather, daily chaos, and the lack of good authentic food options here. I work in tech and couldn’t justify such low salaries. Can’t wait to go home soon. It’s really depressing aside from the glamorous London life.

Believe it or not, having an American accent will put you in better positions similar to if a londoner moved to the us. Unfortunately not all British people speak RP English hence why we don’t see much social mobility

I moved to London since 14 from Hong Kong. For me it has more freedom/ relaxing vibes and diversity than where I’m from.
