She bought travel insurance for the cruise specifically, she didn’t have travel insurance for the time she wasn’t on the cruise. She fell ill whilst not on the cruise. Claim is only valid for the cruise costs. Everyone clear now

Who the hell goes overseas on vacation with out health insurance … a trip like that should be an additional $5000 to over $15000 for people their age … JUST for HEALTH insurance … what they got was just cheap cancelation insurance …. The travel agent made the rookie mistake of going with the vendor’s insurance. Based on the itinerary, the travel agent should have purchased the insurance separately and made sure both cruises as well the travel between them were covered.
