Yeah the oil isn’t for the piston is for the gearbox and the gearbox is central

Some X10rs had problems with the cylinder not getting lubrication while turning. they had to pull all of them from production.

my R9T eats a fair amount of oil in winter, especially when I'm back at high altitude where it's cold. but little, if any, through the summer

My 1989 GoldWing GL1500 does burn a bit of oil if I use the side stand for more then 10hrs. On the center stand it doesnt

that is no longer a problem on anything somewhat recent. mine is on the side stand right now

We remove the centre stands on most of our boxers… handy to have but on the cafe racers ruins the look… nice bike!
