@operation.adventure: thoughts & weight of each 👇🏼 For the longest time we used to be preoccupied with getting our backpacking packs as light as we could. We ditched oz’s here and there and really leaned into the whole “minimalist” attitude while out there. But a few years ago we kind of found ourselves not enjoying backpacking anymore because it just wasn’t comfortable SO we starting bringing a few luxuries and WOW it changed everything for the better!!! so here are 5 of our favorite “extras” that are still lightweight BUT bring a whole lot of comfort 1. @Nemoequipment fillo elite UL pillow (3 oz) YOU GUYS A BLOW UP PILLOW IS LIFE-CHANGING IN THE BACKCOUNTRY! This NEMO fillo elite packs down so tiny (to the size of a lime), has a removable washable cover, and is one of the comfiest lightweight pillows we’ve tried! 2. @AeroPress packable coffee press (11 oz) Y’all have probably heard me talk about my despise for instant coffee before so this one is an absolute game changer for us. Having fresh coffee in the mornings elevates my day by about 1000% 3. @thenorthface thermoball slippers (7 oz) I will never understand people who don’t bring camp shoes!! These are fleece/down lined and are literally like pillows for your feet. 10/10 4. NEMO moonlite elite reclining chair (1.1 lb) okay I’m not going to lie, I was an anti backpacking chair girl for years bc I never found one that was ACTUALLY worth the weight… UNTIL we discovered this NEMO moonlite elite chair and my anti backpacking chair mindset was derailed completely 😂 It is the first lightweight chair we’ve tried that is ACTUALLY durable and comfortable to support large amounts of weight. & it reclines?!? I’m in love!! 5. Book (5.5 oz) This is my most recent discovery- I’ve started bringing a book instead of downloading a show on my phone and it has made evenings in the tent my favorite part of the day!
