We have been traveling around Southeast Asia for four months now but Indonesian people truly touched our hearts like no one else ❤️ They are warm and welcoming in every situation. As outsiders we always feel comfortable and at home. Indonesians keep their culture alive and authentic even with so many tourists around. Everywhere we go we are greeted with kindness smiles and open hearts. Even the children wave to you on the street so pure so genuine. What amazes us most is that nothing ever feels fake or forced. People do not pretend to be someone else their kindness is simply who they are. That is something we do not often experience back home. We also had moments that left us speechless. Twice we forgot things without even realizing it once a whole bag of clothes and sunscreen in a car and once at a homestay. Both times the people came back to us the next day to return everything without asking for anything in return. One driver even traveled all the way to another island just to give us back what we left behind. When we asked why they just said because it is the right thing to do. No expectations just pure kindness. We have now been to Lombok Bali Java and Flores and nothing has changed. Everywhere we go it is the same picture people with these beautiful character traits and this wonderful heart. That is why we love Indonesian people. Every age every situation you are welcomed like family. We have never experienced anything like this anywhere else.
