I'm lucky enough it's never been an issue with me and my dates. It makes my man feel like a gentleman to have me rely on him financially because he knows he relies on me in many non-financial ways. As a matter of fact, he gives me much credit for the success in building his business.

Meh! The most empowered I ever felt was leaving a date early and picking up the check. I was done with him and didn’t want him having any inkling that I owed him anything. I have always out earned the men I date though.

I tend to be a little more old fashioned regarding this. I would never ask or expect a female to pay on a date. That’s just me and how I was raised.

I would rather have domino who wants to do things for me besides financially. My ex husband thought because he provided income he didn’t have to do anything else. I would rather have a man make me dinner than buy me dinner. But I do feel like it’s gentleman like to pay for dates
