For people not understanding. Imagine this. "There are 100 doors, 1 has a car and 99 has goats, you pick door '1'. Then the gamehost opens 98 other doors with goats behind them. You get the option to choose to change doors again would you do it?" That means that you had 1% chanse of picking the right door with the car behind it but if you were to switch then you would have a 99% chanse of getting the car if you changed doors because the host oppened all the other ones you could of picked. Same thing with 3 doors.

doesn't matter what happened before. if there is 2 choices its 50/50 it could be any numbers any opened dors before that if there is 1/2 its 50/50

But fundamentally your odds won’t change. If you have 100 doors and you pick one. Odds are 1/100 or 1%. When you remove every door except 2, the probability doesn’t shift to 99% on the other door. What if the host showed you and removed the doors immediately before choosing… the odds would be a 1/2. Similar math applies here. Of course is a 1/2 better than a 1/100, yes but when broken down, a 1/100 to 99/100 odds wouldn’t apply when down to 2 doors.

what about psychology? the fact that the host decides to open a door when you picked one and he gave you 3 could show that he’s trying to throw you off maybe you picked the correct door with the shiny car

The doors you didn't choose have a combined odds of 66% and after the host reveals the door with goat in it the 66% odds still apply but since there was no car behind the other door the 66% is now only on the other door

It’s easier to imagine with 100 doors let’s say u pick one then the host reveals all the other doors except one have goats that means it’s almost definitely the one that isn’t urs

You switch, it’s probable change , 1/3 , then 2/3 when you get offered to stick or change , if you stick you chose that when chances were at 1/3 so change and take extra 33.3%
