It's just that if a club wants to keep a player and that player does not push for a move then the club would feel they can convince them to stay, also if a club feel they can get a player for cheap they would also do so

I think people keep forgetting that part of the issue is that Palace weren't doing business since they didn't know if they could get into Europa League which would affect their budget and spending plans
