I think this is especially apparent in the way the police spoke to her and Lauryn regarding her charges. Kendra didn’t just get “wrapped up” in something. She systematically bullied teens. This wasn’t on accident.

Because she was a wealthy, educated, white woman surrounded by “plausible” deniability, and given the benefit of the doubt. After all, it could’ve been the dad, Lauryn, or someone else close that took her phone to do this.

I interpreted it as not wanting to leave Laruyn home alone to deal with this trauma without a support. They waited until her father got home. That, and the police weren’t there for an arrest. They were there to collect evidence.

I'm not defending the police, they had no right to handle it the way they did. Lauryn was an unaccompanied minor when they told her, at the very least a social worker should have been present as an advocate. However the police couldn't arrest her as they didn't have evidence, ie the phone. They were there to collect evidence under a warrant, not to make an arrest.

They were there serving a warrant they weren’t there to make an arrest. They just happened to get a confession during serving a warrant. They needed to serve the warrant in order to get the prosecutor to charge her. There were no charges at the time of her confession so they couldn’t take her in.

Yes! If this was a blavk person or man—the house would have been turned upside down and been arrested on the spot. Also, they would be registered.
