I love the French word, s'epanouir. It doesn't translate directly in English, but it means something like making yourself thrive. It's actively unfolding yourself, working to make your life bloom. If you can find the right work in the right domain, it's possible to balance eudamonia and affluence.

Why are these values so different? Affluence provides (financial) freedom which allows choices and opportunity to afford the luxury of self care. Luxury=time+financial freedom

I completely agree that both require action. They are not in conflict. Self-care isn’t just about the idea of taking care of ourselves; it involves actively making choices that support our well-being. Similarly, earning money and managing finances also demand effort and action. It’s interesting to see how these two values interplay and shape our lives.
