Back in the 80s my grandmother had a friend who sold Mary Kay, I can’t believe I’m saying this, and they had a pure white cream foundation that was supposed to be used as a highlighter. It was a true white no color at all, liquid paper white and I also used Sebastian violet foundation which was really a yellow corrector but came in a bottle like liquid foundation. The combination was perfect for a cool toned deathly pallor. I topped it off with a pure cool white talc powder, most of the time it was Pinaud Clubman Talc because it was the perfect white. Thankfully none of it looked like clown makeup. Sebastian also had a deep blood red lipstick or I wore Wet n Wild Black.
