If you're stuck with chronic illness, why not strive to make it the best thing in your life instead of the worst? It is not easy, but it is possible. Here is part 1 of the blueprint to get you there. 1. Starting right now, you are not blaming your body. You're not calling yourself unlucky, you're not saying things like, "my body is attacking itself," or any other language that reiterates this idea that you are defective or your body is out to get you in any way. Change. The. Story. 2. Gut healing and nutrition is at the root of all health. Your gut health and food you eat (aka the literal building blocks of your body) have a cascade effect on every other area of health, even your mental/emotional health. I cannot stress enough, no matter what your chronic illness is, that this is the place to invest your energy in. I recommend being guided by someone that specializes in this. Just like you see a medical doctor for the medical side of things, there are those that specialize in this. 3. Naturally, you're going to be stressed, and naturally, your nervous system is going to be a bit out of whack after going through a health crisis. It may have even been out of whack leading up to your diagnosis. Living in survival mode/fight-or-fight/sympathetic mode, is not sustainable and will be detrimental to your health. This requires to change who you're being day-to-day so it may take time for this to shift, but don't give up. A part two is coming with three more steps .
