there is this neat trick not to get blitzed: there are signs around with numbers and as long as the number is bigger than your speed they won't react to you.

no we have speed cameras all over the US. its common. where you been? lots of cities make bank every year with the ticket revenue from it. and we also have traffic cameras to monitor traffic flow. .... this isn't odd.

Well, we have the constitutional right to question our accuser in a court of law. Since cameras are not people, they don't qualify as witnesses to our alleged crimes. I believe the ACLU has funded litigation that has upheld this position. But, check it out for yourself.

Wym in Chicago we have the speeding cameras 😭 you don’t get a picture of urself in the car but you get one of your car and license plate. The letter they send tells you what you did like pass a red light or speed

saying "god given right to speed" about the US, while you have harsher speed limits most of the time while the majority of the Autobahn has zero speed limits is ironic. Reminds me of the US calling themselves "land of the free" while having most prisoners in the world.

Ok so I’m an American and I know this will sound crazy but imagine a world where everyone knew exactly how fast they could go without getting in trouble and it was posted on signs. Instead of basically everyone speeding all the time and cops kinda enforcing it however they want.
