why didn't you clean the filter housing before installing the new filters? my ocd wouldn't let me do that 🤣

My friends laughed at me when I put a whole house filter in my house on CITY water. I grew up on well water so out of habit I put the filter in. Filter comes out black every time I change it.

I think you'd need a sediment filter in front of the RO system anyways.

well technician here. try just getting your well air lifted or brushed/air lifted. it will help a lot. you most likely dont need a new well unless the casing is falling apart.

Get a bucket and flush out the line before you put the new filters on.

Your well is fine the aquifer looks like it has a lot of iron in it. So even if you redo a well it will still look like that. You might just need to put a screen in the well so the pump doesn’t pick up as much rocks and sediment

Garret at the freedom factory on YouTube had a system installed. Over 1 year later he was having an issue and called them out to look at it because he couldn’t find it. The original tech built it into his sprinkler system and water for the barn instead of the house system 😂

You may not need a new well, you might just need to change the depth of the pump in the well. Not nearly the cost of a new well.

I do this for a living, and you don't need a new well. I would recommend adding a sediment screen before your filters. purge it once a month. keep going on a 6 month cycle, that's what most of our customers do. and you can reuse the oring as long as it's not damaged. lil dab of silicone lube goes a long way. and you can add an RO system later if you want, no problem, AFTER the system you already have. RO's don't like well water in raw form! kuddos on your setup!

How much are the filters? If they aren’t that expensive I’d call that worth.

Vaseline on the oring every time you replace filter won’t need to replace oring as often

you can get a 100 microns spin down filter as a pre filter before your three stage filter will make them last longer

I’m not sure why this is popping up on my fyp now, but there is so much misinformation in this comment section. If you have questions and you want them answered by someone who works in water treatment, is a master plumber, a pump installer,

Pump tech here. They work but you do gotta change often depending on water quality. But they do get wjatever you need out of your house water out.

you don't need a new well, most likely your pipe is too long, letting the pump sit on the bottom

If a well is supplying enough water you don’t need a new well the sediment in the well is the problem raising the pump further off the bottom should fix it
