I have a craftsman like that but the tank is under the seat and the battery is up front. Takes forever to get fuel to the motor.

yep. always clean cables and terminals looking like ah. even if its not in for it. spray some of that terminal spray and voila. I try to go above and beyond. nobody likes to bring their item in 4 5 times for repairs

I have so many periodic no start complaints that refuse to rear their ugly heads 😅 i think my favorite has been the recend vanguard starters that we have to warranty every other mower

Saw that battery positive terminal and immediately said corrosion. Had the same issue on my brother's Ford Fiesta. Terminals were CAKED in green, sometimes the starter just wouldn't do anything when you turned over the ignition. Glad to see you used a corrosion spray (I'm assuming that's what it was? the stuff I use is orange).

great job with the diag! I drove my mower to a neighbor's house after cutting my grass to cut theirs and they came out to talk to me so I shut it off. it would not start no matter what so I popped the cover off in front of the key switch and jiggled the wires running to the ignition switch while I turned the key and it fired right up. Haven't done anything else to it but haven't had another issue out of it either so 🤣
