I did it using a notary this year. I sent a pdf of my dad's birth and death cert, my birth cert. And some information filled out pdf. they took my information to the San Juan municipal office and got my citizenship paper, had it apostilled, and I also got a hard copy of my dad‘s birth certificate. They sent everything FedEx. It took maybe 3 to 4 weeks and cost me about $600. I tried doing it on my own, but I never got through to the office in San Juan. and yes, you can get citizenship in Spain in two years.

You can also go through the Spain consulate nearest to you. You also qualify if you can probe yout Ashkenazi ancestry. It can take up to two years to process and you do not have to live abroad

You don’t need PR certificate. Parents or great grandparents birth certificates that was born in PR. My best advice, get a an attorney.

If your considering do this I highly suggest getting on it, the two years fly by here in Spain and as long as you have you’re paperwork lined up properly it’s a fairly smooth process!
