U got more excited with the first baby walking over the second baby. First baby is probably ur very first time being a mom (adopted or not) u are way more excited when u see ur very first baby walk. Compare to your second. My first walked and I told everyone. Even people I didn’t know. My second walked and I told no one.

It was different to me but not in the way people expect. With my bio kids I felt so accomplished when they were born. Like I earned them by doing the hard work. When they handed me my child we adopted, I felt so unworthy of such a gift. I felt such an immense gratitude and just sheer disbelief that of all the people that could’ve been chosen, I was chosen to be this child’s mother. I’d never felt that before and I still feel it when I look at him ❤️

I work in childcare and I told a little girl that her mom and dad were there to pick her up and she said I don’t have a mommy and daddy I laughed it off telling the mom what she had said and the mom responded with “yeah we are doing adoption” so just because she’s adopted you aren’t her parents?? all of their biological kids call them mom and dad

There’s a lady I’m friends with, I think they’re up to 6-7? She said she often genuinely forgets she didn’t birth 2 of them because they act like just like the others and she doesn’t think about it. One of them is even a different race; I’ve always wanted to adopt
