Besides being a scientist, I think you’d make a fantastic lecturer and teacher.

the funniest part of your analogy is that ribosomes aren't actually asking for the right parts, tRNAs are just bringing different parts in until something clicks. imagine building IKEA and you have several assistants who just randomly hand you different parts and you have to say yes or no.

As a fellow Biotechnologist, thank you for this content, and these analogies. I spend my life making these comparisons and connections to help drive impactful education and results. Our field is complex, but, when we communicate it well we educate the next generation that much more effectively and efficiently furthering advancements.

just spent 3 days learning about dna/rna/ect and nothing in that textbook actually made it make sense. but you just did in less than a minute with an analogy that will be burned into my brain. amazing. thank you so much. I will pass microbiology now. ♡

Sounds plausible but the human body is extremely complex. The effect of new medicins is difficult to predict. That is why a rigorous trial sequence is required. Even then, some people will slip through that trial net and develop (serious) side effects. Some of these may only show up many years later. It is extremely important to be clear on this to restore trust in medical science

I have a question not related to the subject...
if we can transplant any organ to any person that is a genetic match. Would it be possible for us to donate our reproductive organs if we don't need them or have any plan to use them to have children. Could we donate them to another woman that wants children?
